Readmission

I took a semester off from UArizona. Do I need to apply for readmission to start taking classes again?

You may not have to reapply! Under the Back2UA program, students who left Arizona in academic eligible status, academic review status, or academic warning status and missed no more than two consecutive regular semesters may return to the University of Arizona without applying for re-admission. Please reach out to your academic advisor for more information, and we look forward to having you back!

I have not attending UArizona for more than two semesters, but am interested in returning. What are my options?

No problem! The first step toward returning is by submitting an application for readmission through the Office of Admissions. Please be sure to review application submission deadlines, which are dependent on whether you left UArizona in good academic standing. Also, requests for readmission if you did not leave in good academic standing are reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the college.

I am currently on academic ineligible status. Is there any way I can return to UArizona?

There may be options for your return to UArizona. We ask that students on academic ineligible status who wish to return to complete one of the options below for consideration of readmission:

1.Complete a minimum of 24 units with an attempted GPA of 3.00 for all transferrable courses from another institution.

2.Reapply to UArizona on the condition of mandatory enrollment in Second Start, after an absence of at least three years.

Please reach out to us at cohadv@arizona.edu with any questions about our readmission process.
